ABOUT
ME
I am passionate about creating characters with rich backgrounds, just as I have seen that no one place, language, or culture defines a person intrinsically.

Now living just outside of NYC, I am a proud Syrian-American born and raised on the island of Trinidad. I found the dramatic arts soon after moving to the US which helped me to assimilate into this new country and culture and also find a place where I fit. I started out singing and playing music and later, it evolved into a love for theatre.

My diverse style and ear for dialects has allowed me to appear in some amazing shows such as Stranger Things, The Blacklist, and Army Wives, playing both native and non-native English speakers. My short film, Uzma The Greatest, has been seen in many prestigious festivals, including Cannes.

I currently live in Newark with my husband of over 30 years.
